Almost 40% of higher education funding in Colorado came from federal aid dollars in 2021, a new report says.
In all, 39% of the state’s higher education funding came from the federal government, while 49.4% was from tax appropriations, according to the report compiled by the State Higher Education Executive Officers Association (SHEEO), a nonprofit headquartered in Boulder.
